About New Day for Children
By participating in this event you are providing direct support to New Day girls and their programs - care, education and therapy. The walk/run will begin at 9am on April 29th at Lafayette Reservoir in Lafayette. Please join us and all the New Day friends that will be there to celebrate this 5th annual event.
New Day for Children (a 501c3) is a program for American girls aged 10+ who are victims of CSE (Commercial Sexual Exploitation), commonly referred to as sex trafficking. Since 2009, New Day has partnered with concerned citizens, corporations, public and private foundations, law enforcement, especially the FBI and faith communities. Our girls are restored at on of our schools in a beautiful, remote location in northern California, far from the urban hubs from which this industry emanates. In addition to schooling, which is geared to their personal level of academic achievement, the girls participate in a highly regarded horse therapy program, meet with a licensed therapist, go on fun outings, learn to cook together, do crafts and other group experiences.
We are excited to have recently opened a new safe home in the Napa Valley serving graduates of our program and other similar programs. These young women, 18+ years of age, are beginning the next chapter of their lives as they pursue a college classes or employment. Come join us on April 29th and be part of transforming a girl's life.
